California Car / Permit practice question · Traffic Laws
Making a U-turn is illegal:
Answer choices
- On any residential street
- Where you cannot see 200 feet in each direction— Correct answer
- At any intersection with a traffic light
- Only during rush hour
Why this is the answer
Never make a U-turn when your clear view in each direction is less than 200 feet. You also may not do one at a railroad crossing, in front of a fire station, on a one-way street, or where a NO U-TURN sign is posted. A traffic light or a residential street does not make a U-turn illegal by itself.
