Texas Car / Permit practice question · Traffic Laws
Before turning in a city, Texas law requires you to signal continuously for at least the last:
Answer choices
- 100 feet— Correct answer
- 10 feet
- 25 feet
- 500 feet
Why this is the answer
Give your turn signal continuously for at least 100 feet before you turn or stop, and switch it off once the turn is done. A signal left on by mistake still tells other drivers you are about to turn. Ten or twenty-five feet gives drivers and pedestrians too little warning. The handbook repeats the 100-foot figure in its steps for turning at an intersection.
